Here are a few pictures that I shot last Sunday on the Miksang practice day that are quite lovely, but are not about simplicity. I found that these pictures were an expression of a flash of perception on my part, but the intention of simplicity was not quite there. On a second look (when selecting and editing for showing) I found that these pictures were more about something else.
There is too much going on here: a green leaf, a yellow leaf next to it, the quality of the puddle and the reflection of branches. Too complicated.
This is more like the first picture: the reflection of branches in the puddle make it more complicated.
This picture is more about a leaf on a crazy pattern.
It seems something happened here, there is a story about it. This is more an event than simplicity.
There is too much other stuff around this wet piece of paper.
